PARRAMATTA MISSION LUNCH

Recently, the team at EFS went to the Parramatta Mission and lent a hand preparing a special lunch for the less fortunate. It was a wonderful experience and we learnt much about the hard work the mission is doing to improve the lives of people in western Sydney. It is a fantastic organisation that really inspires the community to work together to help get people back on their feet. REDCROSS BLOOD DONATION

On July 8th, 2011 a brave group from EFS visited the Redcross Blood Donation facility in Rosehill. Despite the anticipation of several members of the group the donation went very well! The fantastic team down at Redcross put our fears at ease and we are now looking forward to becoming regular donors.

One in three Australians will need blood or blood products in their lifetime but currently only one in thirty actually donate. So please donate. We can tell you from experience it is a safe and fun process!

 On April 1^st 2011 EFS, through the Parramatta Chamber of Commerce participated in the Annual Barefoot Bowls Tournament “Acoustic Music with Balls”. 22 teams competed in the event and EFS helped to raise over $5,700 for KidsWest www.kidswest.org.au as part of its Million Beats Campaign. EFS entered four teams (of 4) in the event and the “EFS Champs” were the eventual runners up on the day losing out narrowly to Suncorp Bank by less than a millimetre in the final measure up. It was a great day and EFS will be keen to compete against next year to go one step further and take home the trophy!
