James Solomons
As well as his committment to a number of organisations James recently participated in the 30th Annual Sydney to Gong ride to help raise money for Multiple Sclerosis. He rode the 90km as part of the SBS TV team and thanks to a generous band of supporters raised just over $5000. Then this tally was matched by the Count Charitable Foundation which took the total amount he raised to $10,205. This was a fantastic effort and actually put him 13th on the overall fundraisers leaderboard out of $10,000 riders ! A link to all of his sponsors on his official sponsors page can be found here. Below are a few photos from the day as well as the official thank you night held recently at NSW Government House (with his brother David on the right who was due to do the ride but injured his knee two weeks before and on the left SBS team Vice Captain Rick Jordan who actually crossed the line third overall on the day out of the 10,000 riders).

As part of his commitment to give back to the community James has been volunteering his time and expertise to a number of local organisations for many years.
He is currently the Honorary Treasurer of the Redbacks Football Club (since 2006) and also sits on the executive committee of the Sydney High School Old Boys Union. He has also served as the Honorary Treasurer at the following organisations in the past:-
- Sydney High School Old Boys Union (2008 to 2011)
- Sydney High School Foundation (2009 to 2011)
James is also the Honorary Auditor of the following organisations:
